MODIFY YOUR EXISTING ESTATE PLAN WITH AN AMENDMENT TO YOUR TRUST OR A CODICILS TO A WILL

FLA recognizes donors who include a charitable gift in their estate plan


PHAROS SOCIETY COMMEMORATIVE ROLL OF HONOR FLA recognizes donors who make cumulative gifts of $25,000  or more, IN PERPETUITY

  • $25,000 can rescue and completely restore an out building on an historic lighthouse grounds
  • $50,000 can completely restore the inside iron work of an historic lantern room or can restore a 150 year old Fresnel lens

LIGHT KEEPERS LEGACY SOCIETY ~ FLA recognizes donors who include a gift in their estate plan

  • An estate gift of $100,000 can completely restore all the historic ironwork in a brick lighthouse tower or fund a years worth of archeological or historic research by a graduate student team. 

  • A gift of $1,000,000 will restore a lighthouse because that is what it costs to completely restore one of the towers -- and that restoration has to be done every ten years.

Independent Counsel - - All donors are encouraged to seek independent financial and legal counsel when executing wills, trusts, contracts and other agreements.  FLA will provide educational information and assistance to donors however, the ultimate responsibility regarding evaluations, tax deductibility, and/or similar legal local, state and/or federal compliance issues rests with the donor and/or such counsel as the donor may wish to secure.
